November Rehearsed Reading – Achieving Excellence

On the 24th of November, Southside will be holding a rehearsed reading of ‘Achieving Excellence’, written by our very own Anthony Cox.

‘Achieving Excellence’ is a play set at the heart of modern British education where greed and ambition matter more than education and nurturing.

2017. An inner city. Mina Banerjee is the new principal of the flagship academy of a federation of secondary schools. She wants excellent progress and the best GCSE results in the country. But are the academy’s results really worth the paper they are written on?

It will be staged at the hall behind the Salvation Army Church at 38, Balham High Road SW12 9AH. Walk round the back of the church and you’ll see the hall. The play will start at 7.45 and there will be no interval.

Tickets are £3 for members, £5 for non-members.
