Southside Players are proud to be a thriving part of the South London community. In the past we have partnered with the local Waitrose branch for community funding, and we are always thrilled to support other groups, either through adverts in our programme, or partnering for local activities.

Putney Arts Theatre
Beginning life as an after-school arts group in 1959, Putney has grown to be one of the largest groups in the southwest London area.
Based in Wandsworth, SW18, New Stagers is one of south west London’s longest established amateur theatre groups. They produce four shows a year, including a seasonal pantomime.
South London Theatre
Based in West Norwood, South London Theatre has a new play on every few weeks.
A society founded in 1905 by senior members of the stock exchange, the group operates in and around central London. A group of over 200, it is a registered charity.
The largest community theatre in Europe, the group has over 1,000 members. Situated in Ealing, West London, there are about 600 members who regularly get involved in shows.
Following a racist murder in Southall in 1976, a number of Asian Youth movements began, including Tara Arts, which was the first Asian-led theatre company in the UK. The theatre itself opened in 2007 and produces new-writing, adaptations of European and Asian classics and tours, bringing stories into schools.
Chalk the Sun
A creative group based in Balham. The group meets regularly for poetry reading and socialising.
South West London Choral Society
Rehearsing in Balham Baptist Church on Monday nights and with around 65 members, the choir has been going since 1886.
